PPE Program

December 12, 2007 Update

We have made significant progress in the Pan Flu PPE distribution since the last update. Cardinal Health has been very proactive in bundling each specific health center's apportionement and getting it out to health centers. The Pan Flu PPE has been steadily flowing into NC health centers since early November. Our second vendor, Grainger, is ramping up to send out the next phase of the PPE, which are the PAPR's and a different type of N95 respirator. Please expect your PAPR's before Christmas.

3M has agreed to provide regional training for the PAPRs and NCCHCA will be surveying you on the best method to roll out this training.

October 4, 2007 Update

We have submitted the purchase order for the PPE and are currently in the process of identifying point of contacts from each health center. Please submit your primary point of contact names, backup person, phone number and email address to Paige Hales-Gordo. This information is important and necessary in two ways. First, so we can supply the vendor with correct contact names and addresses for each center for delivery purposes. Second, so the NC Div. of Public Health (who has kindly granted these supplies to you) will have a person to contact when they begin the inspection process.

We are intent on getting that information to the Vendor by Friday the 12th of October so as to expedite the process and have your supply delivered to you in the next 30 to 60 days.

Coming Soon!!!

With a grant from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health, NCCHCA is providing all health centers with a twenty one day supply of personal protection equipment. The supply will consist of gowns, gloves, hand sanitizer, shoe covers, face shields and N95 respirators. The amount of equipment you will receive varies according to your health center's size. We are working closely with the Division of Public Health to provide you with this equipment and NCCHCA is currently in the competitive bidding process.

You may rotate your stock as needed. Please be thinking of an environmentally controlled storage area for the stock and also a point of contact that NCCHCA can coordinate with for the delivery.

We will update this page frequently and there is more to come soon about the size space you will likely need to find to store your stock.

For more information, please call, Paige Hales-Gordo at (919) 297-0015 or email her at halesgordop@ncchca.org
