Program and Conference Highlights
In accordance with this year's theme "Protecting Our Earth, Protecting Farmworkers", the East Coast Migrant Stream Forum is doing its best to "GO GREEN". As a contribution to our Earth and our Farmworkers, NCCHCA will not be printing the usual mailed out registration brochures in hard copy form. However, we do have them available online for you to see!
For a peek at the preliminary schedule and registration brochure click here. (download may take several minutes)
Also, don't forget to register for the “Dining with History”
This 3-hour walking tour serves up the delicious details of “dining with history!” Learn about Providence’s tradition from the time Native Americans taught founder, Roger Williams, how to farm, hunt and fish to when the horse-drawn lunch cart became the model for New England "diner" restaurants to the time when Portuguese, Italian, French Canadian and other immigrant populations added their flavors and traditional dishes to the local cuisine to birth an amazing new food culture.
The Fox Pointe Area tour will include history and a sampling of local pastries but it’s a “healthy” walk so come in comfortable shoes!
*Space is limited to 35*
*$30.00 cost (not inlcuded in conference registration fee)
