23rd East Coast Migrant Stream Forum
October 21-23, 2010
Charleston Marriott Hotel
Charleston, South Carolina
Launched by the North Carolina Community Health Center Association in 1988 the East Coast Migrant Stream Forum is an annual event that brings together professionals who focus on increasing access to health care services and improving health outcomes for migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their families along the East Coast.
This three-day conference offers educational workshops that are tailored to our new skills and outcome-based approach focusing on five major disciplines: Clinical, Outreach/Lay Health Promotion, Policy/Advocacy, Programmatic/Administrative, and Research. Participants are provided networking opportunities and sessions where they are exposed to the latest clinical trends, farmworker-specific service delivery models, cutting-edge research and legislative and funding initiatives.
The aim of the Forum is to enhance cultural competence and improve the delivery of health care services to farmworker patients along the East Coast.
