Please join us in Raleigh on February 21st to meet with your members of the North Carolina Senate and House of Representatives. These folks were elected by your friends and neighbors and should be responsive to local community needs. In light of all the forthcoming changes to health policy and health coverage, one of those needs is to sustain and build upon our strong safety net. We need to ensure our community members have access to health care, including those who are uninsured and underinsured, and that means ensuring the stability of safety net providers, including Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), rural health centers (RHCs), local health departments (LHDs), and free and charitable care clinics.
On February 21st, members the aforementioned safety net providers will join together in Raleigh to meet with their state leaders and ask them to invest more in the Community Health Grant program so that safety net providers can maintain their valuable services during uncertain times ahead.
Primary Request: Increase existing Community Health Grant Program Funding by an additional $7.5 Million
