CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT / LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE – WILSON COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER

Wilson Community Health Center is seeking a personable, self-motivated, and energetic Certified Medical Assistant / Licensed Practical Nurse!

The Certified Medical Assistant / Licensed Practical Nurse serves as patients’ first contact in the medical area, preparing patients for examination, assisting the medical provider with examinations, procedures, treatments and patient education, as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing as an LPN or graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants.
Current and unrestricted license to practice in North Carolina.
Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to deal with the public in a courteous and respectful manner.
Must be detail oriented.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequent standing, walking, occasional bending, stooping, lifting, reaching forward and overhead.
May occasionally be required to lift patients, office equipment and paper, usually not exceeding fifty pounds of direct lift.
Frequent computer work required.
Must be able to travel freely in the local area.
As a Medicaid/Medicare facility, Carolina Family Health Centers must comply with the Federal COVID-19 vaccination mandates.
