ESRHS is seeking to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer, which is responsible for the supervision and administration of organizational programs and policies, as determined by the Board. The CEO works efficiently with the Board and employees to effectively accomplish the mission and goals of the organization. Leads the affairs of the organization in accordance with the level and scope of responsibility and authority delegated by the Board.
Oversees the ongoing operations of all departments and divisions in the organization. Manages and directs the organization toward its primary goals and objectives. Oversees employment decisions at the executive level of the company. Leads a team of executives to consider major decisions such as expansions, contract agreements, negotiations, expanding scope of service etc. Promotes communication and cooperation among departments to create a spirit of unity within the organization.
The CEO represents Eastern Shore Rural Health System, Inc. in the community, at the State and Federal level and actively seeks collaborations with other agencies serving the health center’s target population and must interact professionally and communicate adeptly with external customers, funding sources, the media, other organizations, agencies, and government entities. Attention to building trust in the community and the population the organization serves is paramount.
Requires relevant undergraduate degree. Further degree or certification preferred. Requires previous experience in healthcare management and must have a working knowledge of financial, human and physical resources. Must be able to work with community organizations, advocate with local, state, and national government agencies and represent the organization in the community.
A person in this position must be a visionary with supervisory and administrative experience, mature judgment, and sound leadership principles. Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster teamwork. Excellent communication skills required.
