Job Description:

Job Summary

Provides overall financial direction to the organization and provides recommendations to the leadership team and the Board of Directors to improve operations financially and maximize cash flow.

Responsibilities and Duties

Develops finance strategies for the organization through review of monthly/periodic financial reports and analyses. Develops projections and budgets based upon the results of these analyses.
Ensures that financial data is reconciled with requisite supporting information with accurate presentation of the financial reports.
Prepares annual budgets for the organization and monitors actual results against these budgets (including federal grant budgets).
Monitors compliance with federal, state and local grants.
Directs preparation of other reporting, including, but not limited to, tax returns, cost reports and grant reporting.
Oversees the accounting function (accounting, accounts payable and payroll) and billing and collections functions of the organization. Assists direct reports in development of individual job function accountabilities.
Develops financial strategies by forecasting cash flows and operating results to meet the long-term needs of the organization.
Responsible for presenting financials and other information to the leadership team and the Board of Directors. Provides education to managers in the organization to better understand financial reports and financial management of their respective areas of responsibility.
Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Master of Business Administration preferred. CPA preferred.

Ten (10) years of experience in finance with five (5) years of experience in a financial leadership role. Previous CHC healthcare leadership, finance and billing experience strongly preferred.

Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and advanced skills in Excel and report writing.
Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with employees, patients and external parties from a variety of educational and socioeconomic backgrounds in an individual or group setting.
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
Proficiency with utilizing data to drive decision-making.
Excellent strategic thinking skills with the ability to balance business needs with clinical needs, as well as shift thinking from overall strategy to details.
Ability to identify, assess and resolve issues in a timely manner in accordance with established policies and procedures.
