Job Description:

Western NC Community Health Services (WNCCHS), a non-profit, Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), seeks a full-time Director of Quality Improvement. The Director supports the development and implementation of quality assurance measurements, audits and assists in improving medical management processes throughout the organization by engaging in activities to proactively promote evidence based best practices and resolve deficiencies. The Director will collect, analyze and report on a variety of data to assess the quality and appropriateness of care and treatment of patients and to provide oversight in the allocation and utilization of program resources. The Director will be responsible for providing a planned, systematic, organization-wide approach to identify, design, measure, prioritize and monitor quality and performance improvement of processes which promote the delivery of safe, cost-effective, high quality patient care. The Director works collaboratively with the Medical Director, senior leadership, clinical departments, nursing, and administrative leadership to develop and implement a best-in-class FQHC quality program to ensure compliance with internal QI initiatives, FQHC standards and other government and BPH supported programs. A bachelor’s degree in health sciences, public health or healthcare administration (Master’s degree preferred) in addition to three years of experience with quality improvement in a healthcare facility are required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office products are also required. FQHC experience, knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma or PDSA process and experience with data analytics software is preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are desired but is not required.
