Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
Highly proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Strong technical accounting, internal control and financial analysis skills
Ability to solve problems and improve processes
Good written and oral communication skills
Must be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines
Must be detail oriented
Must work well in a team environment
Possess strong organizational skill
The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are highly desired:
Budget Creation, Management, Reporting, and Analysis (Grants, Operational, etc)
Preparing and analyzing financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit/Loss Statements, Cash Flow Statements, etc.)
Applying complex allocations to financial calculations.
Ad Hoc Financial reporting and analysis
Ability to understand financial policy and grant requirements and ability evaluate grants and functional areas for compliance.
Medicaid and Medicare Cost Reporting
Working knowledge of Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Federal Qualified Health Center (FQHC) program requirements
Working knowledge of Abila MIP Fund Accounting system.
