DENTAL ASSISTANT- Full Time (40 hours)

Western North Carolina Community Health Services (WNCCHS) provides patient centered, team-based primary care to residents of Western North Carolina. We are committed to caring for our patients with purpose and integrity and providing our team members with the support they need. We are looking for a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team.

We are seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to work 40 hours weekly.

The Dental Assistant will be based at our:
Minnie Jones Health Center (MJHC)
257 Biltmore Avenue
Asheville, NC 28801

The ideal candidate will have dental assisting experience with x-ray certification; fluent in Spanish, Russian and/or Ukrainian highly preferred, but not required.

trained but not certified
experienced and certified

Hourly rate depends on experience level and certification:
Experienced Dental Assistant $19.00 to $20.30
Experienced and Certified Dental Assistant $20.30 to $24.30

QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent
Six months of Dental Assisting experience
X-ray certification, required
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs to produce correspondence, documents, presentations, records, and spreadsheets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Expert knowledge of medical office operations, preferred
Familiarity with role of FQHCs in the community, preferred
