LCHC, a Federally Qualified Health Center proudly serving the Durham and surrounding community for more than 45 years is currently seeking to expand its medical staff. The Center has been Joint Commission accredited since 1987 and is Primary Care Medical Home Certified. It is Durham’s largest “safety net” provider of services to individuals who are medically vulnerable. The Center is highly regarded within the community and has collaborative relationships with the other health care agencies in the community including the Duke University Health System and Durham Department of Public Health. These collaborative relationships provide an excellent forum for participation in medical training.
Provides a variety of medical services for young children, adolescents and young mothers. Plans and carries out medical care activities to aid in growth and development.
Considerable knowledge of the medical field as it relates to Pediatrics. Ability to evaluate findings of physical examinations and tests against sensory and judgmental criteria. Ability to supervise the work of others. Ability to plan and carry out medical care activities at assigned clinics.
Graduation from an accredited school of medicine. Completed residency in Pediatrics. Licensed to practice medicine in the State of N.C. Completed specialty training (pediatrics) and must be board eligible/certified in Pediatrics. Special training or experience in appropriate medical specialty or specialties. Spanish- Speaking Skills are a plus.
