Lincoln Community Health Center, Inc. (LCHC), a federally qualified community health center (FQHC) located in Durham, NC is recruiting a Staff Nurse (RN). Sign-on bonus offered. This is a wonderful opportunity to work in Durham which is known as the Bull City, the City of Medicine, the Tastiest Town in the South, and the Startup Capital of the South. It’s a two-hour drive from the beach, a three-hour drive from the Blue Ridge Mountains, and is North Carolina’s fourth largest city by population. Along the East Coast, Durham is located conveniently along I-85. For those outside of driving distance, travel to and from is made easy as the City and County of Durham co-own the top-ranked Raleigh-Durham International Airport that services more than 45 nonstop destinations.
Job Summary:
Responsibilities include providing nursing care to patients and families and demonstrating competent use of nursing processes. The Staff Nurse (RN) actively supports the LCHC mission of service and education. The Staff Nurse (RN) provides nursing care through scheduled appointment panels carried out as Nurse Visit types not requiring a provider. Follow up nurse visits may include Vaccine Administration, Blood Pressure follow up, Diabetic Education, Lab follow up, etc.
Education/Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program. Must have current nursing license to practice in the State of North Carolina.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to interpret provider’s orders and to formulate nursing plans based on instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Ability to perform a variety of nursing functions.
