If so, we have a full or part-time position that has been created just for you. In this setting you can concentrate on your optometric skills as they relate to primary care with concentration on co-managing patients with chronic disease conditions, including diabetes, cataracts, glaucoma.
You will be part of a healthcare team which includes family practice physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, mostly serving lower income individuals and families who’ve not had access to high quality eye care.
Western North Carolina Community Health Services, Inc. (WNCCHS), a Federally Qualified Health Center in Asheville, NC is seeking a NC Board Certified Optometrist to join a highly integrated team of 15 family medicine practitioners, 5 dentists, and 8 behavioral health clinicians, in a community health center setting.
The candidate will provide optometric care to adults and children from internal referrals and will evaluate, monitor, and treat eye conditions including glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and other eye-related diseases.
Candidate should be NC Board Certified as well as TPA certified.
