Job Description:

JOB TITLE: Pharmacy Manager

DEPARTMENT: Pharmacy

FLSA: Full-Time; Salary/Exempt

DURATION: OPEN UNTIL FILLED

POSITION PURPOSE:

Reporting directly to the Pharmacy Director, in this role you will oversee the overall daily pharmacy operations. You will supervise pharmacy staff (Pharmacy Techs, Support Analyst, and Delivery Drivers), purchase pharmacy needs/supplies, and prepare and distribute pharmaceuticals. As well as oversee the process of submission of claims.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide advice and consultation to patients as needed and requested including explanation of dosage, usage, side effects, and consequences of improper use.

· Manage the pharmaceutical budget, ensuring that the operation of the department is within budget guidelines.

· Provide oversight and approval of all prescription insurance rebills and adjustments.

· Assist with the development, use, analysis, and feedback of clinical performance measurement indicators, processes, and audits.

· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly pharmacy reports as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree from a college or school of pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), such as a Doctor of Pharmacy Program (Pharm.D.)
Must hold a current, unrestricted North Carolina pharmacist license (North American Pharmacist Licensure Exam, or NAPLEX).
One to three years of experience working in a retail (ambulatory) pharmacy setting.
Minimum 3 years of experience in management.
Understand pharmacy purchasing and procurement of drugs and 340B regulatory requirements.
Good communication, analytical, and technical skills.

HIRING RANGE: $115,000 to $ 130,000/annually
