CERTIFIED CODER SPECIALIST – ADMINISTRATION

Carolina Family Health Centers, Inc. is hiring a Certified Coder Specialist!

This position supports the Mission, Values and Vision of Carolina Family Health Centers, Inc. (CFHC, Inc.). Under the direction of the Director of Revenue Cycle and Health Information, the Certified Coder Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating and providing education to providers and clinical staff related to clinical documentation, revenue optimization and coding-related processes, including quality measures, Patient Centered Medical Home and Accountable Care Organizations requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Associate degree, preferred
Certified Professional Coder
Two years of coding experience
Experience in coding and billing in a Federally Qualified Community Health Center, preferred
Attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent sitting, occasional bending, stooping, lifting, reaching forward and overhead.
May occasionally be required to lift office equipment and paper, usually not exceeding fifty pounds.
Frequent computer work.
