Job Description:

The Clinical Assistant is the main link between the patients and the Provider. The (CA) provides care and related services to patients in the medical centers. They provide services that reflect the Mission, standards, and philosophy of the Hot Springs Health Program.

Essential Job Duties

A. Accurately obtain and record vital signs and pertinent observations of the patient’s visit.
B. Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, radiation, and safety procedures.
C. Display a courteous, empathetic, and respectful attitude.
D. Demonstrate proficiency in taking vital signs, and phlebotomy.
E. Demonstrate proficiency in administering injections.
F. Accurately document medications/injections in health maintenance and NCIR.
G. Accurately collect and process lab samples.
H. Provide patient education if appropriate and as directed.
I. Monitors check-in and works up patients in a timely manner.
J. Follows Provider’s orders.
K. Timely and accurate documentation.

Education and Experience

A. Education: High School graduate or GED
B. Experience: Clinical Assistant experience preferred but not required. Computer experience required.
C. Other: Valid NC Driver’s License, and dependable transportation.
