Summary of Position
The Information Technology (IT) Systems Support Specialist will have an extensive knowledge of computer hardware, with hands on experience in software and internet applications, wired and wireless networks, operating systems, and printer hardware. The IT Systems Support Specialist will model behaviors consistent with the published values and the Code of Conduct of RCCHC.

Roanoke Chowan Community Health Center will provide open access, community-oriented primary care of the highest quality to all residents within our service area and surrounding counties, regardless of their ability to pay.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions in the English language. Communicate effectively.
Establish a good relationship with all departments and staff members. Interact in a respectful and professional manner. Able to travel to other RCCHC sites. Understanding of, and sensitivity to, the diverse populations, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds to the communities we serve.
Education: Associate’s degree in computer science, or related field required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience: Minimum five years of information technology experience required
Certification(s)/Licensure: IT certification(s) from Microsoft or CompTIA preferred
Knowledge:
Knowledge of domain administration
Knowledge of the principles and practices of IT administration
Knowledge of information security and data privacy principles.
Knowledge of diverse computer systems, network(s) and software
Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications

Essential Functions
Administration of all Active Directories and Microsoft Office 365 applications
Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
Install, configure, and manage software and associated functionality according to RCCHC specifications
Install, configure and maintain data hardware and cabling, computer and printer hardware, wired and wireless network equipment
Provide IT support to users and be a point of contact for help desk support
Participate in the planning, implementation, management, monitoring and upgrading of security hardware/software
Participates in development of IT plans, structure and objectives for organization
Participates in the evolution and refinement of IT processes
Participates in professional development activities to keep current with trends, applications and equipment
Troubleshoot to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
Maintain hardware and software inventory
Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes
Maintains compliance with governmental regulations and industry requirements
Maintain compliance with HIPAA requirements and standards to guarantee patient confidentiality
Maintain compliance with OSHA requirements and other regulatory agencies
Maintain compliance with workflows, policies and procedures as well as other activities to support PCMH model of care and accreditation
Performs other duties as assigned
Equipment Operated: Range of IT equipment and supplies, including computer hardware/software, fax machines, copiers, printers, and telephones.
Work Environment: Position is primarily in a well-lighted office environment. Frequently in tight, poorly-lighted and small areas. Occasional evening and weekend work and some travel.
