Position Summary:
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is responsible for counseling clients; helping them gain access to various resources and assisting clients to confront issues that are negatively affecting their way of living such as poverty, abuse, mental health and addiction.
Essential Duties:
Performs Bio-psychosocial assessments.
Interviews individuals and groups to assess needs, as well as develops appropriate response plans for their clients.
Provides information and referrals for counseling and service acquisition as appropriate to the assessed need.
Provides consultation services.
Initiates treatment interventions; e.g., individual, family and group counseling and crisis intervention.
Helps people in accepting various situations with emphasis on events that can’t be changed.
Documents client interaction and referrals.
Performs patient education.
Makes home visits as needed.
Charts and maintains notes in a timely manner.
Participates in data collection and compilation.
Completes all necessary statistical reports and is accountable for accuracy.
Develops and implements policies and procedures.
Protects confidentiality and the abides by HIPPA Laws.
Educational Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Social Work Experience Requirements
3+ years in a Clinical Setting
